DVI experiences in Bali and Thailand from a DNA perspective
Invited Speaker: Ms Pam Scott (FSST)
Pam Scott has been the Chair of the national Biology Specialist Advisory Group (BSAG), the Biology representative and Deputy Chair of the Australasian DVI Committee (ADVIC). She has been contributed to the DVI investigations relating to the Bali bombings and the Thailand tsunami as the DNA expert/team leader.
Pam began her career in medical research, before entering forensic science as an examiner in the Biology Division of the Victoria Forensic Science Centre. For the past 20 years, Pam has been a Forensic Scientist at Forensic Science Service Tasmania (FSST), carrying out DNA profiling on forensic casework, examining items, and attending crime scenes. Pam is the current manager of the Biology Section at FSST.
