SA Branch Professional Development Award
The ANZFSS SA Branch Professional Development Award
The ANZFSS SA Branch Professional Development Award will be offered biennially in a non-Symposium year and is open to Life, General and Student members. The purpose of the Award is to provide financial support to members so that they can attend a professional development event which will help to further develop their skills, knowledge or expertise in their chosen field. The professional development event may be a notable forensic conference, workshop, training course or visit to another laboratory/organisation to learn a specific skill. Financial support is offered for professional development activities both within Australia ($1000 stipend) and internationally ($3000 stipend). Applicants across all levels of expertise and experience will be considered. Only one Award will be offered per biennium.
The selection criteria will include the following:
- The nature and value of the professional development activity
- The likely benefit to the applicant, their organisation and the ANZFSS community
- The commitment of the applicant to the ANZFSS SA Branch
- The quality of the application
- The support of your organisation / supervisor to attend the activity
The ANZFSS SA Branch Committee will nominate a selection panel to assess applications. Applicants will be notified of the outcome within 2 weeks of the submission deadline.
